It's Not Always a Dad Lapfest

This post is dedicated to mom's lap.  Dad's always gets the spotlight, but I wanted to make sure y'all know I'm an equal opportunity lapcat.

Okay, so technically it's not mom's lap.  Still adorable though, right?  Once in a blue moon mom will sit in dad's chair.

The Girl, Her Mom, the Former Christmas Shrub (yep, still alive) and the Take-out Diet Coke
And I'll end it with what dad calls a dreamy, hazy (translated- poor dad focus) close-up of the first photo.

I'm telling you, if these aren't sleep inducing I don't know what is!

Those photos are just purrfect, Cleo. i give Lynn leg time every
eve at 5:30, and she just has to be ready or i will pout about.
i don't ever do dad's legs. i'm a girly girl, i guess.
it looks like you try to do the right thing with both sets of laps. Precious

Cleo you are a purrfect lapcat who knows how to share her goodness.
I love how you have stretched out so much.

I hope the noisiness Dad has been experiencing is not a new neighbor w/o any manners. You might have to roar at them

Your humans should consider themselves lucky - I'm not a lap cat at all!

Our Saku is a lap cat, Sasha is not. It must be nice to have two laps to choose from Cleo. Enjoy!

Charlee: "I mostly sit on Dada's lap in his office, but now that Mama has made an office in the cat room, I sit in her lap in there sometimes too. Just to remind her whose room it is."
Chaplin: "I sit on anybody's lap in the living room during TV time, but in the winter I kind of like Dada's lap, because he lets me under the blanket. It's nice and warm under there!"

Great job sharing your lapcatness, Cleo. You're making us feel very relaxed. Maybe WE need to go and take a nap now, too. :)

Cleo, do you write blogpost in your sleep? Did you die and were freeze-dried in a sleeping posture? Did you decide to give up caffeine, and this is the result? Might you suffer from undiagnosed sleep apnea? Or could it be that these photos are an encouragement to your readers to be whom they are in the moment instead of always fretting over the impression they make?

Your blog is charming, and you have so obviously worked through the lower levels of consciousness to what is often called enlightenment, that I wonder if you shouldn't consider becoming a spiritual teacher. It  also makes me smile to picture you with your own TV show in which you would present yourself as the feline version of David Carradine's character Caine in Kung Fu. In that show, you would travel the West dispensing wisdom and encouraging peace, although you would often find it necessary to physically defend yourself against dogs and bullying cats.

P.S. I adore your Norfolk Pine. Someday, you will be able to climb it, and no one will know you're up there until you move and the branches shake.

It's very thoughtful of you to share yourself with your Mom's lap too.
