The Cardigan and the Cat Who Doesn't Like Being Held

Dad's never been one for wearing sweaters.  It's all in his big ol' dumbell head, but he's always seemed to think only older folks wear them.  Now, you don't know him, and I myself know for a fact that many people of varying ages wear sweaters so we mean no offense here.

Well, recently dad took possession of  a red cardigan, and with the cold snap these past weeks he's come to relish its warmth, especially on these chilly mornings.  Y'all know how much he likes to tease me about my age and whatnot, but I'm turning the tables here.

So, dad, I guess it's safe to say that based on your view, you're officially older folk, right?

My word, if looks could kill, right?  The things I tolerate...

You are a model of feline graciousness, dear Cleo! Also, I love that pic of you with crossed legs. So cute.

Sweaters are great things for kneading our paws on. It makes us kitties look better than our humans.

My hubby is the same, Cleo. He won't wear sweaters or cardigans, only sweatshirts. Just to make life more interesting, the sweatshirt mustn't be a hoodie either. That was fine several years ago, but he doesn't realise how hard it is to get a traditional sweatshirt here!
BTW, yes he is older folk but doesn't realise it.

Cleo, tell him that 60 is the new 40!
Speaking of sweaters, I am amused that in the UK, they are called jumpers.
Those kooky English!

Okay, now I have a proper visual when I read the word 'jumpers'. I pictured some sort of bib overalls before now.

LOL

Your dad sure loves you, Cleo. :) Take all the snuggling on offer.

MOL Summer!

Our mom's like Ernie's mom. She'll be all bundled up until temps go into the 80s. (Then she'll complain about how hot it is.)

There is nothing more comfortable and snuggly than a sweater

Sweaters! Our Mom wears her house coat over her clothes in the house when its cold! Us cats get embarrassed because it is bright blue with polka dots! At least your human dresses tastefully, even if he is a bit grabby. Have a marvellously happy day!

MOL! He's lucky you don't dig those claws in and let 'er rip.

Our mom bean says 60 is the new 40...whatever that means.

Cleo my first comment went by by.
You crack me up....OMCs you are the feline version of the lady in the cartoon who speaks her mind. Her name escapes my feeble aging brain. But anyway YOU GO GIRL.
I love the first photo of you and dad snuggling. Tell Dad red makes any garment stylish...Hugs

I love the look on your face Cleo in that last photo! And I have been wearing sweaters since I was a kid so I have to respectfully disagree with you!

Cleo, I think you're right. Seems like older folks like the cardigans and the housekeeper has about two or three, but she's not old as she keeps reminding herself, so I get confused about the whole thing.

As cats know, anything soft or warm, for a nap, is one of the best things on earth. I'm sure you don't care how dad is labeled for wearing something so nappable. By the way, it looks fabulous.
