About Me

My photo
Asheville, North Carolina
Hi. I'm Cleo. After being surrendered at Orange County Animal Services in Chapel Hill, NC I found myself being gawked at by a couple of humans whom I eventually adopted. I let them refer to themselves as "mom" and "dad", and they couldn't have found a better home than one filled with... me.

We Three

I know mom and dad are stressing a little about dad's new temporary (hopefully) work schedule, but I'm a happy camper because I get more time with all three of us together more than usual.  At night we pretty much always share the same space, but with dad being around more during the day I get more three of us time than I ever have.

Momsnuggles with the Cuddlebug (say that 3 times fast!)

Since I typically share more than enough photos of me and the old guy I figured I'd give mom some quality post space.  Here's a collection with me, mostly doing what I do best, and mom, the not-quite-old-yet half of my caregiving cohorts.
Okay, here goes- the dadiot feels the need to address mom's stained shirts she always seems to be wearing:
For the record, (honestly I think it bothers dad more than mom) mom isn't a slob, doesn't drool or need a bib.  When she's hanging out at home she likes to be in her comfy, well-worn & oversized sweatshirts, spotted with paint and who knows what all else.  They're actually old stretched out shirts that dad used to wear.  He likes to give mom a hard time when she's working in the kitchen, warning her about her "sleeves of death" getting caught on something or catching on fire.  Not that you asked or noticed.  This was all dad.  He's been placed on an alternating schedule and is home more now, and I think this sudden unplanned time off from work is eating his brain.

Christmas Ball

As you've seen before I have my regular favorite mat, where I most often do my playing and claw sharpening.  I have, however, also taken to our entrance mat.  Mom and dad usually get me going with my toys on my regular mat, but on this occasion I was relaxing and lounging on the other one.  Until, that is, dad tossed me my new Christmas ball.

I hope y'all are staying safe and keeping an eye on the ever-changing news and updates.

St. Patrick's Day

In no way making light of all the fear, lunacy, failed leadership, confusion, doubt, lying and frightfully real uncertainty, here's to a Happy St. Patrick's Day, y'all.

The La-Z-Boy Collection

Nope, not a furniture ad.  Simply one of my favorite places, especially if a warm body comes with it.

And not to leave mom out I'll finish with...

And Outside Sunsoaker

Except maybe some outdoor sunpuddle bathtime.

I was minding my own business, tending to my bathing needs when mom tapped on the glass of the sliders, breaking my attention.  And of course, dad's right there with his phone in my face, crude remarks- something about Jabba the Hutt- spilling from his piehole. Today is supposed to be a gray, rainy day, so it's a good time to post these photos.

Inside Sunsoaker

I'm telling you, there's nothing better than some good old indoor sunpuddle lovin'.

About This Blog

Created in July 2011 this blog chronicled the everyday life of a well-seasoned, spoiled house panther named Orbit. He was a nearly constant companion for almost 22 years, and ruled our roost until he passed away in December 2014, and the loss of his companionship hit us like a ton of bricks.
After more than 2 years without a live-in feline friend we found this senior Tortie gal at a local shelter and just couldn't leave without her. Cleo certainly came with an abundance of purrsonalitude, and has staked her claim on our hearts and in our home since day one. It took some long, deep thought, but I decided to pick up where Orbit left off and let Cleo tell her stories. Of course from time to time I'll add some non-Cleo posts, but she'll get over it.
