Gotta Love Free Stuff

Ever the thrifty humans, mom and dad recently acquired an older Weber propane grill dad found on Asheville's Freecycle website.  If you've never heard of it, freecycle.org is an awesome website where people can post things they wish to get rid of or items they're looking for.  Everything is free, and it keeps lots of stuff out of the landfills.

The grill only needed a little cleaning, and dad hooked up a tank of propane, soaped up all the joints to check for gas leaks, and fired it up for the first time.  They grilled a nice juicy rib eye steak, an oddity 'round these parts, some potatoes and corn on the cob. And I know it'll be hard to believe, but I didn't get even a morsel.  Some bull about diet, kidneys, protein, etc.  I just think they wanted it all for themselves.

🎕Me and dad want to join others in sending healing purrs and well wishes across the ocean for Angels Eric and Flynn's mom and dad, Jackie and Ivor, in hopes that Jackie makes a quick recovery and gets to go home soon.🎕

Cleo, what's the use of humans getting free stuff if it doesn't benefit the kitty.

I can see why you didn't get a taste. Our Angel Little Bit had the same issues. What a great idea for stuff you don't want anymore.

Jackie and Ivor are in our prayers too. We love visiting Jackie.

Have a fabulous day, Cleo. My best to your peeps. ♥

Cleo, if you ever taste grilled corn, you'll understand why your humans got that grill!
And free is good.
Sending lots of purrs and hugs to Jackie.

When do we get invited? For years have LOVED thrift store shopping, in purrson, online, freebie sites ... you name it. The old "one man's trash is another's treasure" ... and
grilled veggies of all kinds are the best!

We are purring for Jackie to recover quickly too!

How could they not give you a taste? I have gotten many free things from craigslist like a piano and a very big cat tree. :)

We can't believe they didn't give you a teeny tiny taste. It was very rude of them.

Cleo, that sure was rude of your mom and dad not to share. Nervy, for sure.

Cleo, the thing about being loved a whole bunch is, our parents watch out for us. Even though we wish they wouldn't when it comes to yummy stuff on the grill.

Great find, and I'm glad the grill was safe and could be used. We just got a new grill and the place we bought it from said they take away your old grill, check it over, and donate working ones to local organizations like veterans or shelters. We thought that was much better than sending it to the landfill.

What a nice grill. Dad says his last grill was from a house he was renovating and it lasted many years. Thanks for the link we will be giving stuff away! Purrs
