About Me

Hi. I'm Cleo. After being surrendered at Orange County Animal Services in Chapel Hill, NC I found myself being gawked at by a couple of humans whom I eventually adopted. I let them refer to themselves as "mom" and "dad", and they couldn't have found a better home than one filled with... me.

More Great Views

Now that it's warm here (who am I kidding- I don't think we've had a cold day since moving here.  Hell, the pool's been open since the
first week of March!) we've been able to keep the windows open, to my delight.  I sit on the sill in the bedroom and watch the birds, the neighborhood cats that come and go, doing their business in our back yard, listen to the annoying dogs. We also have a smaller window sill in the kitchen, where dad found me staring out into the darkness fifteen minutes ago.  He crept up behind me and, because my attention was on something out in the parking lot, made me jump.  Such a cruel ass...

That was just plain mean. I'm sure he wouldn't like it if a giant cat did that to him.

We say give him the bitey in retaliation.

Happy Easter weekend to you all, we hope it's wonder-full!

Don't you just hate when they do that.

About This Blog

Created in July 2011 this blog chronicled the everyday life of a well-seasoned, spoiled house panther named Orbit. He was a nearly constant companion for almost 22 years, and ruled our roost until he passed away in December 2014, and the loss of his companionship hit us like a ton of bricks.
After more than 2 years without a live-in feline friend we found this senior Tortie gal at a local shelter and just couldn't leave without her. Cleo certainly came with an abundance of purrsonalitude, and has staked her claim on our hearts and in our home since day one. It took some long, deep thought, but I decided to pick up where Orbit left off and let Cleo tell her stories. Of course from time to time I'll add some non-Cleo posts, but she'll get over it.
