Hi

Hey all. So things've been a bit busy lately. I'll spare you the boring details, but it's been a stressful, somewhat disappointing week or so. Meanwhile, dad was pooch-sitting again all week as the bosses were away, and on this particular day, the two old guys finally had a decent warm day when the winds weren't blowing a bazillion miles per hour to take another walk up to Bowman's Hill Tower. Afterwards, they basked in the warmth of the sun, one taking the picture, the other out cold from his walk.

Anyhoo, since my interest in any of the above is nonexistent and this is MY blog, I'll show you how much I care about this stuff by sharing my typical reaction whenever mom or dad tries to talk to me.

Yep, even if I'm initially looking in their general direction, once they start talking to me, I simply turn to the side and ignore them like they're not there. Works wonders.

But do they give up or keep talking?

Smudge you never know when they might give you a word of wisdom. You may have to wade through a few thousand words first but it might be in there. And how can anybody expect to have an Easter bunny show up when there's a mutt around. We all know that bunny rabbits don't like dogs even more than they don't like kitties.. we are glad to see you though and to know that Mom and Dad are doing okay too. Have a great week, we hope to as the wind might be a little calmer today and actually have some sunshine.

"Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom with me", says June, "I intend to begin practicing ignorance later today."

June, June ... let's have a little discussion here. Smudge was not talking about ignorance! Ignoring. You need to go back to kittengarten, girl.

We thought you were turning your head so you could hear better, Smudge! Perhaps we are overly optimistic in life!

My Mom said she remembers as a girl of like 9 being taken up the hill by her Dad and walking all the way to the top of Bowman's Tower...even at that young age she thought she was finished for good!

How nice that Dad and that dog got to enjoy some warm and sunny weather. It was even nicer to see your excellent technique of ignoring your folks. Purrfect execution! XO

You are too funny. I would think they would only want to talk about you as nothing else matters. :) XO

Well sweet Smudge, sometimes humans just need someone to listen to their problems.

They need to figure out not everyone wants to be a good conversationalist.
