Living onsite as we do here has always been one of dad's favorite job preferences. The few minor negative aspects aside, one of the best things, besides the obvious minimal wear and tear on the car, is lunchtime. Typically, dad simply comes home every day to join me and mom for his midday refueling.
Most times I'm busy napping, but before long I realize he's here and, after a good long stretch and a hearty yawn I'll leisurely stroll out to the kitchen and paw my way up the stool to head-butt mom's thigh, which tells them I want to be picked up to sit on dad's (usually) lap out of
I never get any of their human food (dad used to sneak me some until he discovered a whole undigested piece in my litterbox), but at least I get a comfy lap.
They often laugh at me as I watch dad's fork go back and forth between his plate and his gob. This last one caught me in the midst of one of these hopeful back-and-forth sessions.

Cleo, you must make Dad's lunchtime so special, sitting on his lap like that! XO
Very cute photos of you sweet Cleo. XO
Aww, this sounds like a nice routine.
It appears that lunchtime is the most delicious time of the day. Might not be your meal Cleo, but it's still a great time. You're looking good on your stool waiting to be picked up. Precious just went through the phase where she was eating a bit of unsweetened Greek yogurt. The yogurts gone and I'm not buying any more so she's a bit disappointed.
What a great way to spend dads lunchtime. You rock Cleo.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays. You're to cute not to.
Have a purrfect day and week, Cleo. My best to your peeps. ♥
Cleo, Da Boyz just jump onto the table, and sit their furry selves right down to watch us manga!
CB likes raw almond butter as I do (too much!).
How fun, I love those photos - what a great lunchtime tradition you have!

That sounds like a good lunch time tradition, Cleo.
Aww you're so lucky to have your Dad there at lunch time Cleo. We used to give Cody chicken all the time when we had it. Believe it or not, Roary has yet to have any human food! i don't want to start him off on it because Cody used to drive us nuts for food once I started him on human food.
How lovely that your Dad can come home over lunch and you can do a bit of snuggling with him! We are very lucky as #1 is mostly here, except when she isn't all!

One of these days something will fall off that fork sweet Cleo!
What a sweet routine!
Cleo, you remind Mom of Jo Jo and her Dad! She loved to sit on Dad's lap and watch him eat (even though she is not fond of people food). She is starting to come back out of her shell and interacts more with us other cats and with Mom, though she does not yet sit on Mom's lap. We hope you guys have a marvellously happy week!
One day I bet you'll stop that fork and get a bite, Cleo! ~Ernie
Charlee: "Hmm, I haven't tried sitting on Dada's lap at the food table, but this sounds like a good way to maybe grab something between the plate and his mouth. Thanks for the idea!"
You've got the best seat in the house Cleo. Enjoy!
