Christmas Break

First off, dad wants me to explain something after reading so many comments on the first "Routines" post- mom & dad sleep with the door open 99.999% of the time unless I'm being a complete booger. You see, dad's the morning person here, so when he and I get up in the middle of the night real early he usually closes the door so we don't wake mom.  As for the bathroom door, well, I suppose it depends on who's actually in there and what, exactly, they're doing (don't think you need details here).  Life here is pretty open-door overall is all I'll say.  Didn't Ann and June do a splendiferous job with my special Christmas photo?  It melted mom's heart so, and dad felt it was purrfeclty fitting for my special holiday header.  Thank you, Ann, for your creativity and kindness.

So mom and dad are both feeling better, even though dad's cough is a little more persistent than they'd care to deal with.

One of Those Kitty Puzzles dad Picked Up from Freecycle

As you can see, they're getting back into some kind of routine themselves, and unfortunately for me they do the puzzles up on a table now, damn them.
Just the Box Cover- They're not finished yet

Our Christmas, much like every other holiday, will be just the 3 of us all nice and cozy here in our home.  Low key, nice and quiet, no traveling, good food (and beverages, of course)- in other words, just the way we like it.  We hope all y'all's Christmas festivities, however you spend them, are joyous, safe and as relaxing as they can be.  Not sure about the effectiveness of wishing anyone safe travels, but if you are traveling to visit loved ones, please be careful, and mindful of what's what, okay?

Merry Christmas from our home to yours!

That's the thing about kitty cats Cleo, we don't even try to keep them out of any room. The whole house belongs to the cat and that's the way it ought to be, no door shut if possible. It's nice of you to let your mom get a little bit more sleep since you guys get up at 4:dark 30, in the morning. Wishing you a Holly Jolly Christmas and simply love seeing you dressed up with a hat. Enjoy any treats that you can get, and try not to take the jigsaw puzzle apart before Mom and Dad get it done. Lynn and Precious

I am glad that the doors are mostly kept open for you, but agree there are times the bathroom door needs to be shut.
It will be just the two of us for Christmas. We used to go to a nice all inclusive hotel pre Covid, but as they won't tell me their health protocols, just that everything is safe, we are staying away again this year.
Merry Christmas to you and your mom and dad.

Merry Christmas, Cleo, Mom and Dad!
If we don't close some doors, Cleo, then Da Boyz will get into EVERYTHING.
We close the door at night to muffle noise, which tends to wake Sweetie up, who then wakes me up.
Unlike this morning, when she barfed at 5:30 am, which got me up right quick!

I would close the door to let hubby sleep too, because I'm the early bird around here. It's all good. We all do what works for us.

Ann does such wonderful things doesn't she. We love her and June too.

We don't do anything special here either. It's just the two of us and we have a special meal, but it's not the traditional meal.

Get well soon.

Have a fabulous day and a very Merry Christmas. ♥

Thats a wonderful photo in your red hat! Puzzles on tables don't stop us. The force field does not work here to protect tabletops. Merry Christmas to you all 🎄

Your Christmas photo is beautiful sweet Cleo. We'll just be us having Christmas at home too. The Mom and Dad for years went to our neighbors for Christmas but she has Alzheimer's and isn't up for it these days. We went and had Christmas dinner with her several weeks ago before she took a downward turn. Merry Christmas from all of us sweet Cleo!

Merry Christmas to you and your beans! Your header is purrfect Cleo.

My mom bean set up a jigsaw puzzle too but it's in a room with a door that stays closed. I've been too helpful in the past. MOL!

Merry Christmas Cleo to you and your Dad. We are not mentioning Mom, thinking she is still cozy and sleeping ... p.s. without interruption from you, please, Miss Cleo.
However, Dad is likely at least on the first cup of coffee this Christmas morning.
May your day be all you want it to be (as Dad wrote) ... may Mom wake soon to give you
a Christmas kiss ... and may all three of you truly have a blessed and happy day together.

Yes! We are all creatures of habit! Even though Mom retired a year ago, we STILL try to get her up at 5:30AM. She gets up and goes back to bed! We get her up at 7:30. We also insist on the doors to be open. Especially the bedroom. We DO let our Brother close doors though. WE do hope your Peeps are back to 100% and on this New Year, I wish that you have a superb January, a dazzling February, a Peaceful March, an anxiety-free April, a sensational May, and joy that keeps going from June to November, and then round off with an upbeat December.

You have a lovely header image. It's mostly open doors around here too, except for a bedroom that's sometimes used to store stuff the people don't want us getting into. Aren't puzzles fun?! We tried to help with a puzzle at our house, but our efforts were not appreciated. That's a cute puzzle you have.

I'm amazed by the quality of the header image. :D There are so many kind and talented people around. And your parents are among the best, Cleo.
