As much as Cleo loves sitting and sleeping on her mom and me, it's that time of year when she prefers to be by herself on a chair or the floor. We take it personally, and she tries to tell us that it's not us, that it's the warmer weather. She says it's not all that uncommon with cats. Anyway, when she does sit with us she likes to touch something- a hand or forearm, for example. She was sitting with her mom the other day and I snapped this picture of her just chilling with her paw on her mom's foot. Is this adorable or what?
Sure, it's likely that she's just stretching out, or she just happens to be sitting that way, but we tell ourselves it's out of love that she does this. And that makes us happy.

Cleo, the lover!
Cleo, of course your mom and dad are right to think you want to
hold paws with them. Right now it has been so hot for the past
10 days, Precious is laying at the top of the open basement stair
well to stay cool instead of laying for 3 hours on me. I miss her
and occasionally pick her up and make her lay down on my legs. She
puts up with it maybe an hour. You of course must stay "in touch"
with your folks.
It is out of love. So cute. Great shot.

We think Cleo likes touching because I like touching. I always reach out to touch Dad and in bed will grab his hand and pull it over to be next to me. We kitties love our people, yes we do, so you remember it

Cleo! Of course we like to reach out and touch our people! At our house, we know that if we do that, treats are in order later! Plus it makes our Mom smile and when she smiles, we get treats and tidbits!
Cleo, that is very sweet. I like to keep my feet on my mom too, only she gets cranky when I stretch my claws into her (by mistake, of course!).
Oh, and yes, that is a real thing. It's for electricky people who don't want to fry their computers. We're surprised Mom hasn't done that to hers yet (she doesn't even have a static mat!).

Aww, that is adorable, Cleo! Spring weather is always so unpredictable here, and after being in the 90s last week, we're in the high 40s today. As evidence to your point, Ava has been more snuggly the past two days. :)

Yup, that's adorable!
I miss that. My Cody ALWAYS sat with me, next to me on the armrest of our couch for 13 years. Most of the time he had to be touching me too. Roary likes to sit with me, but it isn't an every day ritual the way it was with Cody. I sure miss my boy.
