About Me

Hi. I'm Cleo. After being surrendered at Orange County Animal Services in Chapel Hill, NC I found myself being gawked at by a couple of humans whom I eventually adopted. I let them refer to themselves as "mom" and "dad", and they couldn't have found a better home than one filled with... me.

Oh, The Things Dad Finds Humorous

Just a quick one while dad's in the midst of trying to keep track of their hikes for our next post. He's up extra early getting ready for a chilly hike up Grandfather Mountain today.
At the risk of offending anyone I thought this was kind of funny.
Looks like I better start thinking about changing my nocturnal noise habits so dad gets more sleep maybe.  Mmm, nah...

I'm not sure I get the cartoon. Looking forward to seeing your hiking photos. We've been walking along a local river trail and spotting some common but fun critters (butterflies, duck, woodpecker).

About This Blog

Created in July 2011 this blog chronicled the everyday life of a well-seasoned, spoiled house panther named Orbit. He was a nearly constant companion for almost 22 years, and ruled our roost until he passed away in December 2014, and the loss of his companionship hit us like a ton of bricks.
After more than 2 years without a live-in feline friend we found this senior Tortie gal at a local shelter and just couldn't leave without her. Cleo certainly came with an abundance of purrsonalitude, and has staked her claim on our hearts and in our home since day one. It took some long, deep thought, but I decided to pick up where Orbit left off and let Cleo tell her stories. Of course from time to time I'll add some non-Cleo posts, but she'll get over it.
