Every once in a while mom and dad eat their dinner in the living room so they can watch a movie or something while eating. As you are no doubt well aware, I get first dibs on the laps around here, and often I have to fight for lap space. In the morning it's no problem as I'm used to sharing dad with only a book or the laptop, and his coffee. This outrage, however, I should not have to tolerate. I love mom and all, but I WAS HERE FIRST!
I swear, the way I'm treated around here sometimes...

Well, Cleo... there might be room to negotiate, you know! That food looks pretty appealing...

It looks like you're handling it pretty well though sweet Cleo!
Betcha you managed to snag a bit of sandwich, Cleo!
I hope you snagged some of that sandwich, Cleo!
Look at how easy it would be to hook that cheese out though.
Oh no, Cleo!! How dare she use you as a dinner table. We hope you were able to nibble on a piece of the sandwich there. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.

We have to say there is just no respect these days Cleo
Well Cleo, that sandwich looks pretty tasty.
Put your paw down! Don't accept this outrage. Unless maybe they share something really good with you.
We hope you got a bite of dinner out of it for what you were subjected to, Cleo.
You poor kitty. I hope she shared :)
Cleo, my mom's been known to read a book on me!

Well...um...if you would lay on your backside and then free up your cute snorgable belly, you could hold that plate and demand your own portion from your Mom. You know, that is how otter eat...MOL!!
Hope you got at least enjoy some of that sammich!
OMC! Your mom must really have a lot of trust you won't take off from her lap and leave her sam-mich in a pile on her lap. MOL
Cleo
You crack me up "dinner is on me"....my ward that was just too funny.
I'm amazed you aren't diving in for a bite.
As for our snow we had about 2-2 1/2". Our house faces north we still have some at the edge of the back yard and on the deck and some up close to the front of the house and the roof. All in all it wasn't too bad the drive way and sidewalk never had any accumulation I guess due to the warm temps all winter.

Oh, the indignity. ~grin~ I like your dad, by the way, Cleo, so please try not to wound him again. ~shakes finger~ He has excellent taste in kitties and movie genres. :) Has he seen the movie "Cabin in the Woods"? It's creepy and funny, even though Sarah Paulson isn't in the case. Heh...
You know, our moms and dads do that ALL the time! I get books and magazines read on me! A table, that's all I am. A warm table.
MOL poor you, Cleo! Although I've been tempted to use Mudpie as a table when I need to work on my laptop.
If you're used as a table, I think you deserve treats.
To compensate for the inconvenience to you, we hope you got a piece of that cheese! :-)
