I'm not really sure what's going on in the top photo. Since dad says I don't like being held like "normal" cats (he rarely knows what he's talking about, so I just let that go) this is one way he has of holding me.
Don't worry, he does support what he refers to as my considerable heft, and on this particular day I think we were just watching mom working in the kitchen.

No, it wasn't Halloween. This, umm, colorful outfit is just dad's lazy loungewear. I understand old Orbit used to love settling over dad's shoulder, but not all cats like the same things. I wish he would get that.
My 3 cats do not like to be picked up basically at all. They love to cuddle when I'm sitting down and it's their idea, and their favorite place to land is up on my chest! Bogie (the oldest at 15 now) likes to sit as close as he can (usually behind my head) otherwise.
Well, Cleo, the only thing we can say is thank Bast your dad doesn't try to dance with you! We boys won't put up with our mom's attempts, but our old sisters Caroline and Olivia were frequent dance partners of hers!
Oh, trust me- mom's the guilty party as far as the dancing goes. She's got this thing where she props me up and makes me dance while singing KC and the Sunshine Band's "Get Down Tonight"! Not a pretty sight.
