Test One Two...

This blog was Orbit's brainchild.  It was always about that crusty old fart, because he said so (okay, and maybe some other stuff he wasn't interested in).
For a while now I've thought about what to do with it going forward.  It's hard to believe it's been more than two years since Orbit left us.
I can't remember a time in my life- and I'm going waaaay  back- when I didn't have at least one cat, and this has been the longest stretch with no furry little pet master to love and adore and fill up my phone's memory cherish and laugh at that I can ever remember.
One very recent weekend Orbit's mom and I were out and about, doing some running around, and something came up that made me think about this.  For the longest time I couldn't even consider continuing it without himInitially I felt like I would be dishonoring him if I kept it going.  It was his thing, after all, but a small part of me thinks he would have wanted it to continue.  We've moved twice since he left us, and we've since let go of the remaining items of his that we couldn't part with two years ago.
He was such an incredible presence in all his cranky house panther glory, and his memory will always, always be with us.
It'll be a little rough at first to make even the subtlest changes, but I think it's time. Without further rambling, I give you...

We also find it hard to believe it's been 2 years!
Some kitties leave bigger paw prints on your heart than others.
You will never forget Orbit and at some point, you will be able to think about him without feeling hurt.
You ended this post cryptically!
Is there a new furry in your life?
Don't keep us in suspense!!

I lost my beloved Patches 6 years ago and still miss her and some days it still hurts. I have other cats I love and they give me great joy, but she will always hold a piece of my heart.

Two years? Time passes so quickly but furries we love are never forgotten. It's been a rough adjustment for you. From the tone of this post, we see a big announcement coming soon.

It is so hard to fathom it's been 2 years. I am glad to hear that you will continue and I hope Orbit has helped lead you to a new "master".

Oh My Cat! Two years! We think of Orbit along with you and he will always be in your and all of your blog pals hearts. Some 12 years ago Dad lost his heart kitty, Ming the Merciless, while he was in a nursing home for 3 months recovering from the accident that left him handicapped in a wheelchair. In the next 2 years the 2 kitties his Mom left him when she passed also went to the bridge. He then only had Inky who was 21. He did not want to adopt another but, amazingly, the renter next door was in rescue. She met him in the driveway over some 2 weeks and asked about Inky and if he would adopt another cat. He said no as he was worried about the old man. She said if it did not work out she would take the kitty back no questions asked. He went to look and I hid. My brofur came out and Dad said alright. In 2 weeks we were old enough and someone came and took my brofur. Dad said he would take me.
I sat on the couch with my legs out like it was my throne and meowed my instructions. He gave me my due and me and Inky became fast friends. By the time Inky left us Toby had come to live here.
Long story but the gist is that the right kitty is out there who will honor Orbit as I honor Ming and Inky. Listen and you will hear
