More Lap Lovin'

I think I've mentioned this before, but as much as I love laps I prefer them to be covered with fabric.  I've never been a fan of sitting on bare skin, but now and then the draw of a nice comfy lap is too much to resist.  I know my claws can be an issue, but one day recently Captain Underpants was lounging in our chair and I felt that very draw.

Actually, as happens occasionally with both mom and dad, I was sitting in the chair and he wanted to take it over.  Sometimes I'll just squish over to the side, but in this instance I resettled on the no pants zone.

Hey, sometimes a girl's gotta make concessions, you know?

Warm Weather Snuggles

During the summer months I don't sleep with mom and dad as much as I usually do, but recently we had a day or two that were a little chillier than it had been.

I ordinarily sleep on mom's side, down in the corner at the foot of the bed, but the other morning I stepped over mom and settled into the little bowl in the blankets between her and dad.  Snug as a bug in a rug, I was.  It's since warmed up again, so I'm back to my usual spot.  For now.

10th Anniversary Post

Orbit- Blog Founder and Original Old Fart
And then this old girl took over

It was 10 years ago this week that Orbit and I wrote our first post for
Peeballs and Pooplogs, and boy, has a lot changed since then.

Yeah, like the immense improvement in the starring character, maybe?

Comparing Cleo and Orbit is like comparing thong underwear and bowling balls- they're not even remotely alike.

Well that's a refreshing analogy someone just yanked out of his butt...

I'm just saying that you two couldn't be any more different, that's all. Our lives have been enriched in so many ways by two very distinct personalities.

What, and sticking to "apples and oranges" wouldn't have been good enough?

Anyway, Orbit and I began this blog ten years ago as a way to simply share our day-to-day existence, not knowing if anyone would care or be the least bit interested.

He certainly had the nap thing down!

Who knew how many cat bloggers there were out there! Over the years I've enjoyed sharing our lives with you-
Head Bonks with Mom

the ups and downs, the happy with the sad- and I'm hoping we can keep it going for as long as we have something to share.  Cleo and I want you all to know how much we appreciate that you follow us, read what we have to say and enjoy our photos, even if it's occasionally tedious, unfunny or uninteresting.

Those last words only refer to his non-me posts, of course.

Sure, okay. So anyway, ten years is a long time to do many things, though I know a lot of fellow bloggers have been at it for far longer.

Amen to that.  Sheeit, about the only thing dad's ever been able to commit to for that long and then some is his relationship with mom!  Not jobs, homes, vehicles- you get the picture.

Ouch.  Anyway, I've enjoyed sharing all these years of day in/day out stuff with two of the best companions one could ever want.

The latter more so than the former, of course-

And we'll never forget poor little Grayson.

Dear, Sweet Grayson

Speaking of playthings, haven't you been saying you're gonna replace my chew pretzel for like, the last year or so?

Anyway, I won't drag this out.  Cleo and I will keep at it for as long as she feels like it, and thank you all for ten years of your continued attention.

The Queen, because of course

Ditto.
