I think I've mentioned this before, but as much as I love laps I prefer them to be covered with fabric. I've never been a fan of sitting on bare skin, but now and then the draw of a nice comfy lap is too much to resist. I know my claws can be an issue, but one day recently Captain Underpants was lounging in our chair and I felt that very draw.

Actually, as happens occasionally with both mom and dad, I was sitting in the chair and he wanted to take it over. Sometimes I'll just squish over to the side, but in this instance I resettled on the no pants zone.

When a girl wants her chair that's what she wants, her chair. Sometimes you got to put up with the person that sitting in it. However it looks like it turned out well ,into a very comfortable position for both of you. I have to keep the blanket ready. Even In The heat of Summer for Precious. She jumps up and I better cover my legs or she jumps down.

I keep a folded towel on the edge of the bed; when Sweetie wants to snuggle, I throw it over my light-pajama clad body, so those murder mitts don't slice my clothes and my non-furry skin to shreds.
She settles on my chest, and it's good.

Sometimes you just have to snuggle in, even though conditions are not idea. You made the best of it.
The boys didn't like bare laps either and would make very sharp biscuits to show their displeasure.
