Off-Track

As happens often, the large bespectacled one is getting scatterbrained and letting work- especially just back from vacation- wrinkle his brain and interfere with his "scheduled" blog time (come on dad, we all know you're not that organized).  He's been poring over his pictures folder titled "Cleo", of course, trying to determine which he's used for my posts and which he hasn't yet.
Now, I could tell him there are very simple ways of categorizing his pictures, but I know how well he listens (mom says "Can I get an Amen?!).  We'll just let him do what he's gonna do and not waste our breath.
So anyway, these were from a while ago, as mom would never have the afghan on the bed with the recent high temperatures (dad says "Oh yes she would!).  Okay, this is going in a direction it wasn't supposed to, so I'll just post the photos and be done with it for this week.
Obviously, someone's not in a place to work on a quality blog post with me, as if there are other, more important things in life!  In addition, Mr. Frazzlepants is dead tired because he didn't sleep well.  He woke during the night to mom hurling expletives at a human-sized roach in the corner (please bear in mind- mom's a meticulous cleaner and keeps our apartment nearly spotless, so I'm assuming the beast was looking for drier ground due to all this crazy heavy rain we've been getting).  The pest put up a fierce battle, but alas it was for naught as Dad the Conqueror snuffed its life with a Croc and a flush.
Okay, now that we've thoroughly gone off-track, here are the photos.  I'm not even sure what I was going to say with them at this point.  I gotta go eat, and I'm gonna try to convince Brian the Barbarian to close his eyes for a few before getting ready for work.  Bye.
Hmmmmpppphhhh….

Yeah, you caught me mid-lick.

Cleo, we hate roaches too. We won't even go near them! Why, just the other day there was a gigantic one on the wall in the stairwell and Mom had a Sopranos fit. It was late and she just didn't feel like getting guts on her slipper. As it turns out, the stupid thing repelled off the wall and onto the stairs and ran all the way down where Mom opened the front door and told it to get out and it did. This is the first time we've ever had a live one here, as we live on the second floor, but it's been raining a lot here too. Our city even had a roach hotline (we're not sure if it's still operational), so you know it's a problem here. We also know that cleanliness has nothing to do with it (we mean, how many times a week do we have to hide from the vac??). And at least they don't fly here like they do in other places!

A roach ? A croc ? what sort of wildlife have you got there ? We are somewhat scared. Just so long as you are the boss and can whack things into action - like your Dad. He has to get his priorities sorted. And his photos.

I'm glad the dad took care of that roach. Don't want them around.

I linked this post to Feline Friday.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday, Cleo. My best to your peeps. ♥

Cleo, I for one understand that craziness at the office makes one's head spin and 'real' life gets the backseat. As long as he remembers that he's working to make sure you have the life of luxury that you deserve, which doesn't include icky bugs.

That does look like a comfy spot to relax, especially without that roach thing!

Ugh. Those roach things are the worse! We don't see many around here...thank cod. Good thing your dad put an end to this one...even if it meant losing a little shut-eye.

That roach sounds scary. I love these photos of you, such a cute little tongue.

Roaches are nasty little buggers. I'm glad the one that ventured into your house didn't get away. Did you notice that your tongue matches the color of the afghan?

Cleo that is too funny and it could be your mom and my mom share NO BUGS IN MY HOUSE DNAs. Dad is slow as molasses in July when he goes in and out the doors. Mom is always hollering hurry up you are letting the bugs in.
Mom is meticulous too and she suspects what your recent uninvited guest was probably a wood roach or water roach...they are lighter in color than the disgusting roach; however, a roach is a roach no matter the color.
It was probably trying to escape the high waters.
Anyway this was funny and reminded mom of a similar event that happened to her back in the early 1970's. She will have to write about it this weekend and post on her purrsonal blog next week, My Mind's Eye. The link to that blog is on her menu bar under my header.
Hugs madi your bfff

Tell your great hunter to keep up the good work

I am glad we don't get roaches here, but I know they do in some parts of the UK. Your tongue is cute.

Dearest Cleo,
Thanks for your visit on my blog about the Spanish Moss Trail in Beaufort S.C.
Our six kitties are not that happy whenever their parents go on a bike tour, with an overnight stay or 2 at the hotel.
But we make up for that every time and so far it has worked out.
LOVE your happy snuggle photos here.
Don't we adore our babies?!
Hugs,
Mariette

We have never seen a roach in our house. But TBT says that's because houses are harder for roaches ta find. He knows about them though, cuz he spent 10 years in apartments. But enough about them.

TBT wilts above 68, so we sure dont have anything extra on the bed. Just a sheet and the lightest blanket he can find for a little weight and stopping drafts. WE would prefer it around 80!
