Dad's Back and All's Good With Mom

Well, mom and I are doing just fine.  The ol' man has had a whirlwind week at work since returning from Minnesota where he got to hang out with two of his boys and three of his grandsons.
He finally got to meet his newest grandson who's not yet a year old, and all the boys had a ball running around, messing up their bedrooms, playing together and generally getting away with stuff that their mom probably would love to have yelled about but grandpa was able to walk away from and fly back home.

I've been on my best behavior so mom's talking to me again, and she and I have been sitting together more than ever before.
Not sure how I managed to keep my heft balanced here (dad's words, not mine) but I'm enjoying a one-on-one moment with mom.
Oh, and by the way-  Happy Earth Day to all!  Get out there and do your part, and remember Mahatma Gandhi's words- Live simply so that others may simply live.

Cleo, tell your mom that litter was no fault of your own...that which landed in the bed I mean. Your dad did it and what are hand vacuums for if not to clean it up? I'm glad you got to see how at my house and beddie how mom's should be handled! Give them an inch and they WILL take the proverbial mile.

Heft ? Pöh. Now are we right in thinking that actually you are a little less 'hefty' or is it the camera angle ?
And you make sure you keep your Dad now ! No messing with the human sprogs and grandsprogs for him- he has duties to you.

Oh I hear you girlfriend...just yesterday my Mom got grabby well because I had
a hair ball that I walked in and she didn't want it on the new carpet so she stuck my paws under the F A U C E T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!What in the world was she thinking I don't do water. Then she hollered for dad to come help her trim my nails. Geez I thought spa days were supposed to be relaxing.

About This Blog

Created in July 2011 this blog chronicled the everyday life of a well-seasoned house panther named Orbit, who made the move with us from Massachusetts to North Carolina. He was a nearly constant companion for almost 22 years, and ruled our roost until he passed away in December 2014 which hit us like a ton of bricks.
After more than 2 years without a live-in feline friend we found this senior Tortie gal at Orange County Animal Services in Chapel Hill, NC and just couldn't leave without her. Cleo certainly came with an abundance of purrsonalitude, and has staked her claim on our hearts and in our home since day one. It took some long, deep thought, but I decided to pick up where Orbit left off and let Cleo tell her stories. Of course from time to time I'll add some non-Cleo posts, but she'll get over it.
