I guess I may be getting better about sharing in my old age. Or, dad wanted to post this and said I had no say in the matter. So one of his kids sent him this photo of her floofy feline, Bean, or Spicy Black Bean Burger.
Sure seems like a mouthful when it comes to calling for dinner and whatnot. Unique name, sure, but I'm okay with my one-syllable moniker. Say, Bean must be related to dad- looking at this up close, those tufts sticking out from between her toes look an awful lot like dad's toes. And ears. And back.

Smudge, you are funny girl this morning. Precious looked at this picture and said wow, this looks like me when I'm Belly Up only I'm not quite so furry. Relaxed and everything. However she's like you and likes having just one name, even though when I call her name there's about six more attached. We're feeling a lot better in this house now but I tell you it's been a long haul.
As you may have noticed, We are into multiple names, though it's true they can be a mouthful, and make calling a kitty in for food take far too long!

My Daddy's name was William, his mom and 2 siblings called him Billy. When he was about, 3 he had a head full of black hair then people called him Blackie. Blackie was the only name my Mama called him. when someone called him Billy it was weird. Blackie was the name that stuck Folks used to ask which name he preferred
he replied "I don't care what you call me as long as you call me to dinner"
My parents chaperoned my senior prom with 2 other couples.
The men were Blackie, Tony and Vinnie. Sounded like the mob was in charge
