TV Time with Dad/Strings/Easter Greetings

I have my moments with both mom and dad when I feel like being the adoring little feline companion and not my usual crusty senior self. Here, I'm enjoying a bit of TV (translated: laptop) with dad,

and here, the hood string on his jacket got my attention while he was coming in close, his scruff invading my personal space.

Even though I have a plastic bin of random toys, I find joy in pretty much any kind of string. Until I don't. You know, as much as he has plenty to say about my belly, I'm noticing more than one chin in this last photo, am I not? Anyhoo, Happy Easter, everyone. Dad's off mutt-sitting again this week while mom and I hold down the fort, just two gals, all alone with only each other for company. We kind of annoy each other equally, so it's all good.

A Snoozy Smudge Session

As determined as I've been to make a concentrated effort to keep Smudge's posts entirely from her perspective, it's hard not to want to simply share some of my favorite photos of her, pictures that need no captions or explanations. Smudge is probably the most quirky, moody & snippety cat we've had, but she has her moments- mostly when she's asleep, of course😊- when her mom and I can't help but look at her and feel our hearts melt away. Smudge just passed her 1-year Gotcha Day with us, so what better time to share the joy she brings us-

And last, I know I said no explanations, but note who still to this day gets more space on the footrest.
Don't these make you want to just curl up and nod off?

Dangling Purrticiples

Longing for feline companionship, mom's hand couldn't resist the urge to reach for my dangling paw.

Luxuriating in the warmth from the portable heater, the footrest provided the ideal spot for my morning comfort.

Knowing fully well I wasn't in the mood for a picture, dad's phone ruined a perfectly relaxing moment.

Did we get these right?

Guilty as Charged

sMUdGe SHOT- Get it? See what I did there? I know, keep the laughter and applause to a minimum, thank you. Don't hate me 'cause I'm clever.

Dad took this picture of me the other day and said it looked like I'd been arrested and photographed for high crimes and misdemeanors or some sh*t. Hmmm, maybe I should have T-shirts, mugs, and bumper stickers made and sell them for- oh, never mind...
