Not Feeling a Creative Title

I'm glad that last post was on the humorous side.  I need that these days.  In spite of all the damn barely pronounceable medications mom and dad have to stuff, inject, poke and prod into me I'm just not feeling that well.
Mom and dad are supposed to be going away next week for a couple of much needed days of rest and relaxation over the Thanksgiving holiday.  They'd prepaid for a motel room and several activities down in Myrtle Beach, but I know they're worrying about me.
They've got someone lined up to stop by to take care of my food and litter box while they're gone, but I have a feeling they may not enjoy their time away as much as they would ordinarily be able to.
They've considered taking me with them, and thought about possibly boarding me, too.  I've told them that it's not my fault that I'm not feeling well, and I know they're not blaming me.
I'm just getting old, I guess.  As the years progress it gets harder and harder to stay healthy.  I've had a good run, I'd say, but I'm not about to give up yet.   No sir, they can't get rid of me that easy.
They're doing the best they can, they take better care of me than you'll ever know, and I know they love me like a child, in spite of my crustiness.  I've cost them a lot of money this past year, and I know they'll do whatever it takes to keep me in tip top shape, but I also see my health woes are starting to stress them out.
Sorry, mom and dad.  I can only control it to a point.  I want to hang on to annoy you both and continue providing countless hours of entertainment just as long as I possibly can.  I'm not sure where I'm heading with this post.  Just wanted to get some things out, I guess.

Oh Orbit, you are so lucky to have a great Mom and Dad who take such good care of you. Glad you are hanging in there. It is hard to get old and not feel well. Just have to be positive and know that you will be all right while the Mom and Dad go off for a couple of days. Hope it is nice weather for them. Take care.

Well said, Orbit. It isn't your fault age is creeping up on you. You keep on giving it your best shot - there's something about crusty ol' mancats which is just irresistible and Äiti is in love with your cantankerous ways (just as she was with Monty, and she moved him right across Europe!). When you're ready, you'll be sure to tell 'em!

Orbit, it is so hard for humans sometimes when they get stressed out about us kitties not being well. Sometimes I think it is worse for them than it is for the sick kitty. I'm sending you lots of healing purrs, and I hope you perk up a bit so that your humans have a better chance of enjoying their short trip.

I'm sorry you are feeling poorly, Orbit. I know it happens--we all do--but it's only natural that your folks are concerned and stressed about you. I've seen it happen to my mom with my little family, and it's happened even to me. I'm sure you know that your dad and mom love you a whole lot...and that your giant fan base wishes you and them only the best. Take care, my friend.

I read about you on Eastside Cats blog and just wanted to pop over to let you know we're thinking of you. Hopefully you'll be feeling ok enough that your mom & dad don't worry about you on their vacation. We've had that situation here too, and to put it bluntly - it sucks. Purrs to you and your humans.

Keep on keeping on just as long as you can. Even if you are acting "crusty," your humans would be lost without you. Hope they can come up with a good plan so they can have a good R&R trip and not worry about you TOO much. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Orbit, it's the same way here...between Kona, Grayce and The Baby, only one of the peeps can leave at a time. Not that they mind--much--they love us as much as your peeps love you. Take care, buddy...remember it's not the days in your life, but the life in your days that's important.
