Christmas Treats

Well, here we go again.  Dad's been in the Christmas cookies at work, even though he's been working hard (bull) to maintain his awesomely youthful physique (more bull) and well-toned muscular structure (no idea where THAT came from!).  Last week one of the women he works with made some delicious cookies for everyone, and dad struggled throughout the day to keep from opening the box before he got home, where he knew he'd have to share them with mom.
The other night mom and dad went to a party at work, where there were more cookies.  They both pretty much behaved themselves, though.  And then yesterday dad spotted a box of chocolate-covered cherries on a desk and couldn't help himself. He only ate one.  Okay, maybe it was two.  I think he told mom he only had one, so we'll just leave it at that.  Mom says dad's like a kid in a candy store, and she has to watch him like a child.   Dad just laughs.  And then he'll sit there and rub his stomach and bitch about his weight.

Beautiful Orbit! So long as you also get extra treats, dad may have as many cookies as he wants! LOL! Take care

Our mom has an awful sweet tooth, too, Orbit. She can forgo eating a cookie or piece of chocolate, but if she has just one, she's lost and then eats them all till they're gone. Truly. She's always been an "all or nothing" person when it comes to treats!

Haha! Our mom says that at this time of year, it is too hard to maintain a youthful physique...as she shoves another cookie in her mouth!!

Hey you have a great sense of humor and write well, too. Orbit does not look that old!

I hope you have fun with the Christmas cookies! I have to avoid them so I can better manage my diabetes. But I cheat once in a while!

Have a good holiday!

Our Mom had to lose weight several years ago because she got diabetes. WEll she lost all the weight and wasnt diabetic anymore. But she no longer eats sweets. The closest she gets is chocolate flavored coffee. Which is what she is drinking right now...she says it is very nommy and it makes her believe she eating chocolate.
Mom is weird.

My Mommeh doesn't have a lot of treats at home, so when she sees them at holiday parties, she can never resist. Yesterday it was eggnog cupcakes!

My cat Buttercup helped me with the cookie problem. I was eating a cookie watching TV. She came from behind grabbed the cookie and ran. T just set there and watched the cloud of smoke disappear around the corner.
