A Little Behind Again

Oh dern, where to begin? Dad's been a little lax again about keeping up here. Week before last he was supposed to help me do a post, and he was getting ready to spend yet another week catering to his boss's mutts . Well, wouldn't you know, he and mom both tested positive for COVID for the first time. They thought they were simply coming down with head colds but dad's brain told him to pick up a couple of tests. Dad says at first they just felt kinda (rhymes with kitty) and thankfully they didn't get the fever or anything worse. It wore them down a bit, and somewhere along the line the big ding dong also pulled something in his knee so he's been hobbling along while trying to keep his canine charges occupied and exercised. All in all it's just been a couple of (there's that kitty word again) weeks. Prior to leaving, dad managed to snap a couple shots from when mom was packing his (rhymes with fit), which she does most every time he goes away. No, he doesn't ask or tell her to- she's, well, a control freak in most every way and likes to make sure he's well-prepared. Honest. So, on that big old bed the only place I found snoozeworthy was, well. . .

What? Your Dad takes care of WOOFIES? We are - well, speechless (just kidding. Our step grandma has a woofie, and they are mostly okay).
We love the pics of you on your Dad's - er, clothes.

My gosh, your Mom does what mine does if the family will let her! She is also a "control freak" as the mom's in a family can be for travel times, and wants to make sure everyone has what they need and THEN some! Glad to see you today Smudge!

Smudge, there has to always be one in the family that is the planner/organizer. Otherwise the 2nd one would be just playing his fiddle and gittin' nowhere. We do hope he stops being Hopalong Cassidy soon and back home where he belongs. We got the snow Friday and the frigid and I'm in bed like you, only under the cover instead of on top.Precious

OH NO SMUDGE...I'm so sorry that nasty lurking big C found Dad and Mom. Also very thankful it was minor. My friend here in Raleigh caught a horrid case starting January 16...battled it a week, went to Urgent care once, then to ER for IV fluids and finally she was in the hospital for 2 days because all her body chemistry got messed up due to dehydration. Happy as a clam to report as of this past week. She is back to normal. Her hubby had a very mild case which is crazy as they were in the same house. ANY way happy Dad and Mom are well. Yikes on the twisted knee.

MOL MOL I love that you made sure to send your wonder lady cat aromas and Fur with dad while he was away
Hugs cecilia

You look adorable tucked among his clothes. :) Your parents are having a 'kitty' time of things. I hope his knee gets better. And while I'm not surprised your folks see higher prices where you live I feel bad for them. ~hugs~ I want to move to Asheville someday. It's so beautiful and nearer the ocean! lol Take care!

It's always worth added fur to your humans' clothes, Smudge!
I tested positive for the first time in December 2023, so it's a weird club to join, and I really, really, REALLY didn't want to.
Hope all are well now.

Smudge, we're sorry to hear your folks got covid, and hope they are totally better very soon. Along with your dad's knee and him having to go away, you are right. Sounds like a pretty (rhymes with kitty) couple of weeks. We love how you managed to fit just right between all those clothes. XO

Sorry your humans got Covid and hope they are completely recovered now. That is a good idea to lay amongst your dad's clothes. Get your smell and fur on them so those dogs know he belongs to you.
Hope his knee is soon better.
