How's That for Balance

Gotta love that string!  I just can't get enough string playtime.  I've got an assortment of laces and such on my mat, and that damn string is one thing I just can't stay away from.

I've pretty much chewed the crap out of my laces.  I've now developed a habit of sitting in front of dad and staring at him while he sits on the corner of their bed flossing his teeth at night.  He does his thing, and then dangles the floss in front of me and I swat and bat at it with glee.

Until he settles it on my head where I can't see it.  I know it's there, I can feel it, but it's not fun when I can't see it to swipe at it and chew on the end.  So I walk away, no longer interested.

Even though I'm a large girl (shut up, dad) I'm flexible and agile, as you can see.  Yeah, they make fun of my shape and my weight distribution, center of gravity, blah, blah, blah, etc.
     Like they're perfect...
One day dad was removing slats from a set of mini blinds to adjust the length, and had the string that holds everything together layed out on the floor.  Nope, couldn't stay away from that, either. Like I said, gotta love that string.

Stings are fun but not if you eat them, bad things could happen to the tummy!

Our Tilly used to love playing with cotton swabs. Fortunately, she never swallowed one. Now she's old and only gets active if there's food involved. ~sigh~ Be well and play safe!

Hi, Cleo. You're very cute. Yes, humans love to talk about our shape and weight and such. You do a great job with balance!

You got the moves, Cleo. We don't get to play with string because some cat around here (Zoey) likes to eat it.

You do have good balance playing with the string, Cleo.

OK to play, but don't eat it. We use roller shades at our house so there are no strings. I think they have blinds without strings now too.

You are just a teensy bit obsessed with string, aren't you, Cleo?

Ok I KNOW you aren't playing with string unsupervised, right???? I am sorry but this is making me nervous!! I go insane when my husband accidentally drops dental floss on the floor...I know of instances where it has been ingested by a cat and has wrapped around their intestines.........a cat can die from that. Please don't play with laces, strings, dental floss or anything unsupervised. Also, the string on the blinds can accidentally strangle a cat.
I am sure you know that but for those that might be naive it is important to mention it. catchatwithcarenandcody

Good lord no, I'm not allowed to play with the floss or anything smaller than dad's old fat gray laces unsupervised, especially with my penchant for eating everything I find on the floor.

Oy vey...just had a flashback to when Chuck eat through the strings on a half-dozen miniblinds around the house. We still have them, all jerryrigged because he ate through the string...Cleo, you'd better watch out!

Cleo, if our old bro William were still here, he'd tell you to go for the shoes! He wrecked so many laces on our mom's sneakers. And the dumb thing? It took her like a million years to figure out it was him who was doing it!

String can be a lot of fun, but it makes Mom nervous. She never leaves anything stringy out, except that one time when she forgot about a long piece of thin fleece she trimmed from a piece of fabric......and I ATE IT! After 2 or 3 trips to the vet, lots of fluids and laxatives, the vet said I was LUCKY to have escaped surgery (or worse). I'm sure you're careful with your string toys, but hopefully your obsession won't get you into trouble with something stringy you find around the house.

We love string Cleo but Dad puts ours away when he is not snoopervising. Drat. He does let us play with a new thing that sits on the floor and spins with a string. Whee
