Some Great Memories for the Fourth

At the urging of some I decided to put up some pictures of Orbit from our vast collection, some of which I may or may not have already posted.
We'd been considering a move recently, and much of my time has been spent searching living arrangements at larger, well-managed rental properties.  Unfortunately, many of these properties require a hefty "pet fee", something I don't 100% agree with.
I've been hoping to continue this blog-venture in one direction or another, though with appropriate changes because, let's face it- Peeballs and Pooplogs is 100% Orbit, but it'll likely be a while until there is another character to be the subject/blog owner.

Orbit can never be replaced, but I would like to be a slave again to a feline ruler some day, and this fee is a little prohibitive.  I can understand a deposit, which would be returned upon determining no damage has been done by said furry emperor, but come on!
Anyway, enough bitching.  Enjoy your July 4th holiday weekend, and enjoy some great photos of our beloved Orbit.

What awesome memories of Orbit. My human is lucky that she owns a house and has not had to rent for a long time - it was always a pain trying to find a place that a) allowed pets, and b) had a reasonable pet fee.

Great pictures all. It's so fun to see Orbit again.

Best of luck in finding a new place. When my mom used to rent, it was a pet deposit plus monthly pet rent!

Happy Fourth!

A co-worker told me that his landlord demanded he de-claw his cat AND pay deposit and monthly fee! I am horrified! Being very, VERY against that awful procedure, I can imagine how hard it is to find rental property that welcomes pets. The photos of Orbit are lovely; thanks for sharing!

It is lovely to see Orbit again. He was beautiful!
There is a small pet deposit here (very small--under $50), but unlike our old place (cats only) this place allow small dogs too. We don't have one, but many of our neighbors do. We haven't seen any service dogs (or cats), but we assume some are here. We don't have carpeting here to scratch and ruin, either.
This is a senior building, so animals are encouraged, not prohibited.
Oh, and both brandi and Quinn were declawed before I adopted them. In fact I requested declawed animals. I buy better litter and take care of those sweet feet. Management here doesn't demand declawing, just proper care of our little families.

Of course the snuggle photo is precious, but the picture of His Majesty is gorgeous. Orbit's fur is shimmering.

Thanks for those photos. We are here on New Years Day 2016 and it has been a bit over a year since Orbit left us. We are feeling sad today about all our friends who have left us.
We wish you luck in all you endeavors and do hope you will blog from time to time. Here where I live in PA the no cage shelters invite volunteers to come and give a little fuss to the kitties. May you find the same
