Breezes, Birthdays & Blankets

It's about time we're able to open up the windows and get some fresh air, am I right? We've had some gloriously warm days lately, and mom and dad have been able to get out in the warmth and sun, too. They took mom's birthday off this past week and had a nice relaxing day. They had an awesome breakfast at Aurora Bistro up the road from us. They went for a couple of drinks downtown at Fran's Pub , then made their way up the Delaware River to Dilly's at Centre Bridge, where they got soft serve, something mom's been jonesing for.  Me, I'm just glad be able to do this again.

That's my butt, to the right of the drape. Mom made fun of me recently because I did something, well, cat. As you know, I like lying on their bed when the mood strikes. Mom spread a blue blanket out for me to lounge on and as you can see, I took full advantage of said blue blanket.
Whatever. I hope you're getting to enjoy some nice warm days and not still-uncomfortably-chilly nights. Dad's gonna be mutt-sitting AGAIN all this coming week. Maybe I can get mom to have a girl's night with me or something. Later, all.

Happy birthday to your mom. It sounds like they both had a great day, but didn't they bring home a kitty bag for you?
We are getting quite a few sunny days to, but most days there is a strong northerly wind that makes the 62F feel like 53F. Come on mother nature, if you are going to give us sunny days, send that wind packing! I am glad you are able to enjoy that fresh air.
I am sure you can persuade your mom to have girl's night with you while dad is away.

Smudge, thank goodness the mutt sitting did not interfere with Mom having a great birthday outing! And no offense to her, but maybe she coulda spread the blue blankie out a bit more fur you. I too like to lay on things not intended fur me. We kitties gotta live up to our potential. I have my catio back but honestly, it's been either too wet or still too cold at 5 AM when I purrfur to go outside. Hope Dad is not gone so long you furrgit who he is.

Cats will never lay upon the articles meant for them; it's a law or something, Smudge!

Oona: "Oona also loves to sit in the open window and get all the smells in from outside. Every once in a while though Dada comes and closes the window without noticing Oona is there and then she has to jump off in a hurry. This is because Oona is a ninja and is practically invisible."
Chaplin: "Dada does it to me too. I think he's just not very observant."
Oona: "NO, OONA IS PRACTICALLY INVISIBLE!"
