Hey all. What's up? Dad decided to get his butt moving and help me put up a new post. Sometimes it's like pulling teeth, I swear. Anyway, he and mom finally got to take some time off starting with today, and they're just gonna keep things close. You see, I gave them a scare a few days ago. I all of a sudden wasn't interested in food or water, and didn't seem to be myself. Mom took me to the V.E.T. to see what was up, and after bloodwork, tests, fluids, x-rays, and more tests, it was determined that, other than something about my ol' ticker and a slight wheeze, there wasn't really much wrong with me. I'm sort of back to myself now, but I freaked them out. Mom and dad are thinking I may have gotten a lick of my monthly flea stuff they usually put way up high on my neck where I'm not supposed to be able to reach it, or maybe I got a taste of something I shouldn't have on a plastic bag I seem to have a thing for when they weren't looking. Who knows. I'm a little more me now, so I guess that's a good thing.

When dad got back from his week of pooch-sitting, the three of us were exhausted, so after unpacking dad's stuff, we decided to take a nap together. I had a hard time trying to whittle down the pictures I wanted to post, so dad just dumped them all in here. Enjoy!

Always good to "be me" ... and by the way, the family that naps together ...
well, you know ...
Relaxing at home with family after a scare like that is the best way to recover. We're sorry you had to go through that Smudge. Precious is always chewing on the plastic grocery sacks that I use for trash can inserts. I don't know what it is about kitty cats and plastic sacks. We're glad you're all having a mini vacation together because it sounds like you certainly deserve one.
Oh Smudge! Each and every one of these pictures is wonderful. We're glad you posted them all! Sorry to hear about the little blip, but hopefully it was just a passing thing due to ingesting something that did not agree with you. It does happen to me occasionally. One of the things I really enjoy at such times is a little plain yogurt, or one of the new-fangled "smoothie for cats" they are selling now. Anyway, we hope that you are all back to normal soonest.
Purrs,

I am sorry to hear you were under the weather and gave your humans a scare. I am glad you are back to normal now. Those are sweet photos of you all napping together.
While it's good to keep your humans guessing at all times, Smudge...because you are a cat and that means you must hold to high standards of messing with human minds, we are hoping that this was a brief aberration and that you'll be 100% irritating them again very soon.
You are so cute sweet Smudge. I'm sure glad you are okay and I totally understand how that would scare your Mom and Dad.

Thank goodness you're feeling better now, Smudge. That must have been so scary for all of you. We love your sweet napping photos. Dad is right -- it's so cute how you're touching both him and your mom! :)
Don't scare your parents again, please. ~hugs~ The photos are adorable. Take care, sweet Smudge.
Chaplin: "We're sorry you were feeling poorly, Smudge! Glad you are perking up now!"
Charlee: "I have been off my food a little bit the last few days too, although I'm getting better. Maybe there's a little something going around."
Chaplin: "We send lots of purrs your way to continue to feel better."
Lulu: "And we dogs send lots of tail wags!"
We are sorry you were sick, Smudge. We do get the bit about the plastic bag, though. Caspurr does that too.
Snudge glad to hear you are in good health!!
