And So It Goes

The old girl's like a dog, only she takes it a step further.  Asks to go out.  Wants back in.  Asks to go out.  Wants back in.
Often, she'll sit at the sliders alternating glances between the outdoors and one of us, her way of asking to be let out.  She especially loves the rainy days, lapping endlessly at the dripping deck furniture.  Even more often she merely wants the best of both worlds, wanting to be let out but wanting the slider to stay open so she can come and go at her leisure.
In the event we give in to this, she'll spend her time after coming back inside chasing and playing with the random bug that has managed to make its way in.  I suppose we should look at it in a positive light seeing as how it's probably the most exercise she gets in a typical day.

Poor Cleo. You deserve all the doors open, not to be mocked. ~grin~ And be sure to stay by your dad and comfort him if he watches "The Exorcist" again, especially if your mom isn't a horror movie fan. Be well!

MOL MOL Cleo...true to your species your goal is to keep us guessing.
In reality I suspect you are really trying to get Mom and Dad some exercise.
Speaking of rain it is really raining nicely here..that is ok no where to go.
I trust the humans are staying well!! We have taken several trails as you have read. Thankfully everyone is being respectful of our purrsonal space

A kitty wants what she wants :)

Our cat Teddy is a bit like this.....in/out/in/out/in/out, etc. Fortunately he also sleeps a lot so that's about the only break we get from the "LEMMEOUT" stuff.

Hugs, Pam (with Teddy's approval)

I don't remember our past cats wanting in after 30 seconds of being outside.... but even in okay weather both Ron and Watson want in FREQUENTLY after less than a minute or two. The GUSTY wind has kept them in again today.... blowing over 20 mph at the moment with gusts higher and now up to 64 degrees... from 40 this morning.

Memories of Eric and Flynn said...

Eric and Flynn liked to be out more than in, but one of Eric's favourite things was to go out the cat flap then come around to the back window and ask to come in. As soon as he was in he would go right back out the cat flap and back to the window. He would keep doing that until we got tired of opening the window for him. Then he would sit there glaring in at us.

Cleo, I love that you lap up rain water! I think water obsession must be a tortie thing, because Mudpie sure is completely fascinated by it too!

You're helping people get their exercise with the door, and it's a good distraction too.

Relic would love it if I left the door open so he could come and go as he pleased. We are constantly playing "door games"

Cleo, you are lucky. I only get to go out under supervision, and on a leash.

We're only allowed out in the sunny room but not the outside unless mom bean is with us. But you should hear Sasha yowl when he wants out.

Keep 'em guessing Cleo!

Cleo...you reminded momma of our Robin back in the '90's. She was our last indoor/outdoor kitty. It was in and out all day long with many breakfasts, supers and lunches brought in for our delectation! ;-) and to top it all, she would stand in the threshold, half in and half out while cool or heated air, as the case was at that time, rushed out of the house...and she remained attached to the threshold.

Cleo, we know you're just trying to give your humans some exercise, too. Hey, they have to get up to open that door, right? :)
