Librocubicularists One and All

Yes, that's supposed to be a real word.  It means someone who reads in bed, and that pretty much describes mom, dad and me.
Let me know when you're ready for me to turn the page

Sure, we also read in chairs, on the patio, in the woods, at the park, while camping and hiking,
Ahh, I love the smell of books...

doing laundry, on the toilet and of course while mom sits in the magazine section at the library while aging a few decades waiting for dad to pick out a selection of books.  She usually has him go by himself so he can take as long as he likes.
Hey mom, wouldn't you rather be looking at me?

The bed is one of our most favorite places to read since it's the most comfortable.  How about all y'all?  Where's your favorite reading spot?
What?

I'll read anywhere, Cleo...except in bed! Years ago, when suffering from insomnia, I changed all of my habits so my bed was only for sleeping; no reading, watching TV, kept the temps cool, had a white noise machine (read: fan or air-cleaner), dark shades, good pillow. Wish I could read when walking in the neighborhood for exercise, but then I'd miss all of my cat friends...

The mom typically reads in bed so she's a libro...whatever you call it. :)

Mum likes to read in bed too.
She also reads anywhere anytime.
When she reads sitting on a chair, Julie loves to curl up in her lap.

What do you call it when a human reads on the sofa, but falls asleep there too? Asking for a friend. ;-)

Our mom can only read while sitting up, usually in Elliott's rocking chair (and sometimes even with Elliott on her lap). If she tries to read on the couch or in bed, she's out like the proverbial light.

I suppose I should've added that mom's actually the one who reads in bed the most since, like some of you above, dad opens a book and is out almost instantly. That's why he's usually up as mom says "before God" since the early morning's the only time he's awake long enough to make it worth it. Mom's trying to get him to sleep longer so he an stay awake later, but it's a vicious cycle, dad's ancient and you can't teach an old- well, you know the saying.

When I read in bed it puts me instantly to sleep! At my mom's... as soon as she picks up the newspaper or a magazine to read the cat (Suzie) jumps under it and tries to make her love on her.... it's frustrating for my mom--because it basically happens EVERY time she tries to read!

Ohhhh Cleo what a page turner of a post. MOL MOL
I too love the smell of books, the feel just everything. I hope and purr
the crazy kindle stuff doesn't take over. I read while on the recumbent bike and then sitting in a chair or on the couch. Sometimes Angle Madi would sit on the arm of the chair or when she was younger and friskier on the back of the chair or couch
You look so very pretty today.

I like to read in the recliner, but after a few minutes I keep reading the same sentence over and over.
