...on how lucky we are to have been spared. So many humans and pets have been affected by Helene this past week, and our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones and those who are still unaccounted for, with special hopes, purrs, and prayers for those lives impacted in Asheville and all over western North Carolina. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, where mom and dad found me, is only a short walk from the Swannanoa River, and we can only hope the wonderful, dedicated staff there has been able to safely evacuate all of the furry residents and themselves to safety. The devastation left behind by this storm is beyond words, and we know there are none to put in a blog post that'll make anything better.

It is devastating what this hurricane has done to the southern states. For me it has brought a slight relief from a horrible drought that we have had since August 1st. But at the loss of lives it is certainly not worth it.
We are so relieved that you are safe.
I hope and pray for lots of help getting to all the vulnerable affected, all sentient creatures, and quickly too.
Purrs

Lulu: "The footage we have seen of Asheville has been unbelievable! Mama and Dada almost moved to Asheville before they ended up here in California, they would be in the thick of it if they had done that!"
Java Bean: "Ayyy, more to the point, they couldn't have adopted me if they were there! So I'm glad they are here!"
We are glad you are safe. We're very sad about the devastation we've seen. We were lucky we just got some wind.
